This Guide explains the very first steps of how to use your Naviextras Toolbox: how to connect your USB storage to your PC and how to log in with your Renault Trucks Media Nav Service username and password.

After the Naviextras Toolbox has been started, you will see the main page. The toolbar on the top of the page informs you that you are not logged in:

The following initial steps need to be performed:

1. Connect your USB storage that contains your fingerprint to your PC. Fingerprint could be created by data collections. It shows the current status of contents on your navigation device. For data collection, the USB storage must be connected to the navigation device.

2. Make sure your PC is connected to the Internet.

3. Log in with your account, or register if you do not have one.

These steps are explained in more detail below:

1. Connect your USB storage to your PC.

Plug in the USB storage that contains your fingerprint to one of your PC's USB ports.

When your USB storage is successfully connected and the Naviextras Toolbox has identified the fingerprint, you will be automatically redirected to the login screen and the device name will appear at the top of the Naviextras Toolbox window.

2. Make sure your PC is connected to the Internet.

An Internet connection is required for the Naviextras Toolbox to verify if free or paid updates are available for download for your Media Nav.

3. Log in with your username and password.

The Naviextras Toolbox and the Renault Trucks Media Nav Service work in an integrated way. When you buy a map update, application or extra content on the Renault Trucks Media Nav Service, and then you log in to the Naviextras Toolbox, it will immediately recognize that you have the right to download and install the content. If you are entitled to have a free update, this will be shown in your Naviextras Toolbox after you have logged in.

Enter your credentials to log in. In case you do not have an account yet, create a user profile.

When you have successfully logged in, your name will appear on the top of the screen.
